2009, a year in retrospect

Whoa shit! did any one else reckon that that year went by really quickly? Well anyways that was 2009, what did everyone think of it? This post is kinda just to countdown the things that really made up the year in my mind, NOTE this is purely my perspective on the whole year and besides spot 1 and 3 some of these rankings are pretty interchangeable.

10. Artinesss/Pastiness
This was more of a mid year thing but was pretty big. It all kinda started i think when we discovered prez was down for arty chicks. From there it kinda just snowballed to the point of being included in teasings, the constant use of the word "Hipster", and the visit to the homeland of the arty Cofa. If Grey was the colour of the year then pastiness was the skin colour of the year with all celebrities sporting it such as Katy Perry (offt), Kristen Stewart (OFFT), and Robert Pattinson (faint)


9.New Rappers
We had alotta replay value with these guys this year, hopefully 2010 will continue the ball rolling. "the girl or the world?'"...LOL.


8. Chilled Adventures
Yea we had quite a few of these this year and they were all relatively sick, with a lot of cameos from peeps such as Ryuto, Kabir, Ant, Mikeys crew, very solid indeed. AND also me and Crez discovered Strathfield this year, so yea bigs up to that place!

7.LOL value
though this has been around for ages, it really was a huge factor in things we liked this year. From Addicted to Boyz, Big Momma, and Michael Cera it was all there.

6.John Mayer
Alright in all honesty we give this guy a lot of shit. He has now become such a go to guy when it comes to in-jokes that it has become ridiculous. If you don't understand check the cover we did which is near identical to that of the battle studies cover. I'm also pretty sure he reads the blog, if you're reading now John lets have a sesh?

5.In-jokes/ references
WAY too many to count, and I mean way too many. By far the most memeorable of the year was the use of the terms 'New Charles' and 'Old Charles', "so applaud him, fuckin awesome!"

4. Greening it
If you've read New Charles's post on the hitchhikers guide to Comehithis you would know that this has nothing really related to 'seshs' but more just about slepping in general or phasing out way too hard, and we've had our fair share of that this year...trust us.

3.Korea...lol
If any country kinda dominated this year it had to be Korea, not really in terms of wealth, miltary or anything like that...but more the important stuff in life like pop music, chat rap groups (mad ass gulity pleasure shit, don't look at meee!!), and chicks (GEE!.).


2.Cbf/ceebs lifestyle.
This has been prominent throughout the year and really was a driving factor in the majority of our decisions. "Hey wanna have a city day sesh?" "ceebs", "hey have you made your uni timetable?" "cbf". Yea you get an idea of how it works.

1. The Blog
Was this really a surprise? it's pretty unbelieveable that the five of us, all stars in some cbf circles actually put this thing together and did a decent amount of posts. So BIG UPS to us, and yea shiteeeeeee.

And that was indeed 2009, 2010...offt! you guys best COMEHITHIS in 2010!

Merry Chirstmas, Get Fucked

This is prez and i havent posted shit in fkn ages. No real reason in particular just ceeeebs/been getting my dick wet.

Celebrating the Christmas day to me is pretty annoying because after the age of 10 it becomes less fun, tedious and plain old ceebs. I hate how the preparation for christmas starts like a month before the actual day which makes it seem longer than it is and seeing the decorations everywhere in shopping centres and also seeing peoples attitudes becoming way too keen.

Dont get me wrong, im not dissing jesus on his bday, but just the celebration. I walked around a shopping centre listening to the Christmas music they had on the speakers, that shit is more depressing than playing wii tennis, i bet they made those things wireless so you wouldnt try to hang yourself while playing it.

As the year which was 2009 begins to slowly winds down it has finally come time to ask the question ( with the exclusion of sherlock holmes maybe) what were the best films of this year? For those of you who have decided not to take the mere 10 secs out of your lives to think about this your in luck! ComeHitthis has hit this (OFFT).

And Btw this is kinda just my opinion on the best movies, if anyone out there disagrees with this feel free to make your own blog, come up with a sick title, a poll on who'd you'd rather go, go to sankalana, and make a list for your self (I'm looking at you Mayer!). And here is the top 5!!!!!!!!

5. G.I. Joe
Alright everyone chill out, now this movie might not be what we call traditionally"good" but it has almost limitless "lol" value and also some decent action scenes. Shorty's in it and that guy from Step Up who seems to be a master of every skill known to man, so yea if you want a laugh, a decent amount of quoting, and a cameo from Brendan "greatest actor of all time" Frasier than you best check this movie out. Btw this just beat out New Moon, i wrote a whole review on it, it was equally sucky (ok that was chat).

4. Zombieland
Everyone likes zombies, c'mon...c'mon you know it. With good comedy mixed with decent action, and awesome characters this couldn't be a loser. And note that Jesse Eisenberg who plays the main character of Columbus really gives Cera a run for his money, if only he didn't learn proper acting or something...

3. Star Trek
Trust me its good, TRUST ME you don't need to know Star Trek, "I'm so wired", "yea me too..."







2. 500 Days of Summer

But..but how is this possible? dw number 1 is pretty sick. I think Indy G did a sweet job of explaining why this movie was awesome, refer to his post Have you ever been dumped and also Crez's post 500 daze. Though this movie has become a bit of a "in" joke amongst us its still really good, and probabaly the realest movie of the year. While being real its not pretentious and actually makes fun at alotta of "arty" stuff and yea is just genuinely got a lot of heart (cop shit moment of this post).








1. Avatar

500 days is like the most, delicious, refreshing, eye rollingly tasty salad you have ever eaten. But a man cannot survive on salad alone, he needs meat, fat, deep fried grease, variations on what is essentially different kinds of battered chicken, 100% BS kinda stuff, he needs AVATAR!

Its pretty unexplainable, but yea its good. While not T2 good its ultimate escapism. You literally know where all your money has gone too when you watch this movie. While the story is a little predictable and acting can be a little choice at moments the graphics...eye rollingly good, the action...OFFT, the 3d...pretty good lol. Its the first movie in a while which felt like an experience, and which was childish, fun and almost cynic proof (old charles is rolling in his proverbial grave). So bigs up AVATAR you deserve it, Lionel Ritchie will be over shortly to present the award...

So yea best movie of the year, i'm sorry no Nick and Norah, no Where the Wild things Are, no Paper Heart and defs..DEFS (I can't stress this enough) Ugly Truth.

I'm Officially Who You'd Rather Go

I was planning for this post to be pure gloating, but I must admit im not really in a gloating mood. Anyway, for the sake of you guys I'll give it a shot. So basically, I shat on all of you guys in the poll. In the end I took the win with 21 votes (48%), second to Crez with a measly 6 votes (13%), with me having above majority for some time also. To be honest I didn't really need the poll to know that chicks like me better than you's guys, I already knew it. Lets take an objective look at me here, I drive a car that was made in 1984, in terms of ambition I'm on the very low-end, and in terms of laziness I'm on the very high end, most types of media and knowledge i enjoy are the kinds that would never help me in a conversation with anyone, I couldn't afford to take a girl out to dinner at Red let alone an eat-in restaurant, I do drugs more than the average kid, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed either, some might even call me a derelict of sorts lol. Yet I still do alright with the ladies, to be more precise, I do better than you do. Some might even call you guys pathetic, not me though, but probably like pretty much everyone else. Don't fret though, your day will come, well maybe not but hey there are alot of drunk chicks around these days right?

In terms of rap this year its pretty easy to say that this year belonged to the new rappers, especially Cudi and Drake/Young Money. To end of the year both have released new songs which are pretty sick, and have just amount of "lol" value to make them COMEHITHIS worthy.


Hipsters rejoice your boy is here! in his second release Cudi chucks a bit of a Mayer "Who Says" and just has a clip of himself and mister Aubrey" shopping bag drizzy, he ain't gonna cop that is he?" drake (yes his first name is Aubrey, what a bitch lol) gettin fugged up. The clips pretty cool and the song defines the term "trippin balls".


This song is kinda like a poor man's every girl, and that song is pretty poor lol (though it is technically one of the Comehitthis anthems). The highlight of this clip is easily seeing Lloyd having the time of his life, giving off that just born look which gives him the glow of a pregnant woman. Collectively we've watched like 2 pretty arty movies this week. The first being Michael Cera's awkward grand opus Paper Heart and the other being green-it childrens classic Where The Wild Things Are (which had mixed reactions) but more on this later.....

Panzer Queen shits on fluffy

A coupla weeks ago Prez, Twilight (new charles/old charles), crez and I went to check out our friends Leams and Timmy C's band PANZER QUEEN!! If your reading this post and have never heard of Panzer Queen or copped any of their stuff click their myspace here.

We were also joined by buddies Lawrence (or as his known as 'Lorenzo sittin in a benzo'), Alex " Whitey" White, Ramson (or known as teen mo Michael Cera), and Later Ant man Kwang (from Cofa Fair part 2 fame). We got prepped for the gig the only way we knew how, by getting a greasy feed! The gig was at this mad far out bar called Excelsior, which was kinda near central but in like a really obscure location. It was right in the middle of a few independent music stores/ restaurants/ clothing shop, it was safe to say the place was oozing with indie steez like a Michael Cera film (i'm gonna stop refrencing that guy and all he's movies...actually i have one more but thats it!).

Leams is the one on the left with the Halloween orange shirt and Timmy's on bass in the blue (slapa de bass LOL).

These are some of the photos of the night i was able to scab off facebook (don't judge me alright), as you can tell by the quality of the photos they were obviously not taken by our camera. The show was pretty sick with awesome shredding, smoke machines, and mad lights, good times!

After the gig we kinda jus chilled at the bar and talked about how famous we were because of the blog and how the night compared to Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (goddamn that movie). We were also able to catch up with Leams after his set where he showed us his tatt that crez designed, we'll try and get a pic of it up but just to let you know it was hectic as.

We got a crew pic with leams and Jeremy Dylan (?). The best thing about this pic is when New Charles's friend asked if we'd like the picture taken again, curiously we asked
