What are you guys geeks?

Well out of semi impulse and a desire to revisit our old love me, Crez and Danny went to this years Supanova. If you didn't know back like maybe 4-5 years ago me and crez used to really like comics. Its not that we don't anymore its just we kinda slowed that shit down, it felt like time to see what was now happening (if you don't know danny i think his mentioned in the billy baldwin birthday post, which was a year ago, shiteee).

Supanova is kinda like a giant geek fest (though we're geeks so its all good) where people you'd think are your everyday run of the mill folk suddenly go all out with costumes, withdraw all there savings and go nuts on all the geeky goodness.

i haven't been to Supanova in about maybe 3 years so to see how big its blown up was pretty kool. There were about double the amount of random comic/anime stalls, toys, merchandising and gaming stuff (along with these giant samsung stalls, random right?). And chicks, CHICKS?!? usually at these things theres alot of geeky chicks but this time the ratio was oddly skewed to like a 50-50 split. This is not to say geeky chicks aren't kool, if we didn't have geeky chicks who would be playing the token drummers and bass players of our favorite bands (though the observation had to be made)?

I don't know what this guy was smokin when he came up with this costume but i want some (must have been the most premium borrot shit, JYEAHHH!).

And of course the ceebs mario, this guy hands down had the best costume of the show. So ceebs yet such a nice guy.

Shout out to ya boy Kenneth. Former Epping boy and now university student/president of anime club/b-boy, a real kaleidoscope of Asian skills.

Docta Doom prepare for da boom!!

For the blog (what haven't i done for the blog?) i decided to get a caricature of myslef done, read til the end to see it ( or if your ceebs just scroll down).

And the celebrities lol. Kinda the best of the B list but still good stuff. We had the original Hulk (whose name i can't spell), Cordelia from Buffy and Angel Fame. the Australian chick from the Dollhouse, the girl from firefly, and the "even prettier in real life" Eliza Dushku (man she's pretty). By far the most famous person was the oldest werewolf guy from Twilight, he was just there smiling and kinda ceebs. This reminds me to remember to check for my new Twilight review when it comes out in a coupla weeks.

So overall a very good time was had by all. BIGS UP to Danny for driving us, for all the celebirties who came down, and finally GEEKS. It sounds like i've been bagging these people out but c'mon they come dressed up in they're favorite characters, not give a shit, and really embrace they're inner kid (while alot of people are being too serious and grownup, real world shit, CEEBS). And really you can't hate on that.
